Our Inspection Process

Internal Quality Control Inspection
As soon as the work is completed our Director of Operations personally inspects every bolt, nail, and piece of hardware. This ensures that every project is held to the Stronghome standard, which always exceeds the industry standard. We believe in good work and don't take anything lightly when it comes to your home and family's safety.

Third Party Inspection with the City
After our internal quality control inspection, a city inspector will make sure that what is on the engineer's plans is now in your home, and will confirm that the project meets all city standards. This step will sometimes include a second third party inspection depending on your city's specific codes and regulations.

Since Stronghome's founding in 2019, we have never failed an official city inspection.

Personal Homeowner Inspection
Our most important goal is your peace of mind. At the end of your project, we will walk you through every detail of the engineer's plan set and do a thorough walkthrough of the physical hardware installed in your home. We will earn your trust through every step of the project so you can trust your Stronghome retrofit when the work is done.

My name is James Ewing
I am the owner of Stronghome Seismic and the director of all operations. I am your point of contact from the first time you decide to get in touch, through to the final inspection. I will personally be the one discussing your free home inspection and preparing your retrofit quote with you, the one checking in throughout your project to communicate about scheduling and details, the one drilling bolts into your foundation to make your home strong and secure, and I will personally make sure that you feel satisfied with the project we've done. I'm a general contractor and also a homeowner, so I understand and care about both sides of the project.
